September 9th, 2018 marks the rise of the New Moon in Virgo.

No matter where we fall on the zodiac, Virgo's earthiness and precision partnered with the beginning of this lunar cycle marks an auspicious time for realigning to the values we hold sacred and the purpose of the life we are here living.

Now is the perfect time for a little alchemical gardening. As our literal work in the gardens is winding down with the end of the summer, our work in the internal gardens of our soul is just coming into season.

With the added 9-9-9 numerology of this date (9th day of the 9th month in the 18th year), this New Moon is brimming with initiatory energy. The world is responding to your interest in becoming something greater and responding with signs and guideposts to launch you deeper on the path of your divine life purpose. 9 is both the number of finality as well as the number of new beginnings when we accept that higher spiritual planes can be accessed beyond the material world.

Take note of what is obstructing you in this work. What mental blocks exist? What physical tension do you hold as a result? Does your purpose feel supported? What allies are volunteering as aides to your soul? Allow these questions to guide your soul gardening during this Moon.

Just like with any other garden, it's important to sketch out your plans first. Plant when the Moon is in a Water or Earth sign. Harvest by Air, and prune when the Moon moves into Fire. By setting your intentions in this moment, this lunar cycle can bring about powerful changes in the development of your soul's purpose through this lifetime.

Try using this affirmation to guide your New Moon work under Virgo:

"I am open to aligning my life's work towards the greater good and my cosmic role in the collective work of humanity at this time."

Have a safe and blessed New Moon, readers!
